A long established Sheffield 11 accountancy practice is in need of a Senior / Semi-Senior Accountant to join our small but ever expanding team to further advance the Making Tax Digital journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to manage a wide ranging portfolio of clients from Sole Traders to Owner Managed Limited Companies.

Duties:

  • Monthly / Quarterly bookkeeping and Management Accounts using SAGE / Quickbooks / Xero and other M.T.D. compatible software
  • Monthly Payroll / CIS preparation together with associated statutory requirements
  • Regular direct contact with clients ensuring all their requirements are properly serviced within deadlines
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements and reports
  • Liaise with clients and HMRC to resolve any queries
  • Self Assessment preparation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accountancy practice as a Senior / Semi Senior Accountant.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero etc is essential.
  • Experience in payroll / CIS preparation and filing thereof.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Full or part Qualified, AAT qualified or QBE.
