Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a well-known organisation in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, who are looking to recruit a part-time Accounts Assistant into their team (3 days per week) - up to £26k pro rata.

As the business continues to be a leader in their field, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accounts Assistant who is either currently or looking to study, ideally CIMA/ACCA.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting with the weekly production of the accounts
  • Producing key details for the weekly pack
  • Reviewing costs and explaining variances to stakeholders across the business, in a meaningful and easy to understand way
  • Creating weekly and monthly journals
  • Business partnering with Operations to ensure they understand their cost drivers
  • Reviewing of weekly operations trackers and liaising with Operations to resolve any discrepancies
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Raising purchase orders and liaising with external suppliers
  • The Accounts Assistant will deal with ad hoc queries

What skills are we looking for?

  • Ideally studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Be comfortable working under pressure
