I am very excited to be working with this client! They are synonymous with the creation of exemplary experiences in stunning venues. They are embarking on a period of expansion and to support this we are looking for a dynamic Construction and Development Project Director to join them.
The role is as diverse as the group, so we need a strong Property and Construction professional with skills that cover the full gambit from pre-construction to post completion. You will need to be equipped to deal with contractors but also be an embedded member of the operations team.
The incoming Construction and Development Project Director will need excellent leadership skills and a very keen eye for detail within technical design briefs. You will need to enjoy and embrace the creative side as well as be capable of steering projects and keeping the commercial aspects in check. Exposure to high-end, luxury lifestyle hotel builds will be a huge advantage.
Key Skills / Remit- Ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of hotel construction projects or programmes from inception to handover
- Develop project scopes, objectives, and detailed timelines, involving all relevant stakeholders
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and risk management
- Ensure compliance with health & safety (H&S) and Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, external partners, and internal stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management
- Ensure all projects meet company standards for quality, safety, and sustainability
- Travel to project sites and locations as required
The successful candidate will have a high level of technical expertise and will have delivered large scale hotel schemes in the UK and across Europe. They will have an excellent eye for detail and also enjoy being involved in the creative process.
