  • Following an initial training period, a typical working week will see you spending 60-80% of your time in court, prosecuting a wide range of offences and utilising your varied skill set to achieve desired outcomes. The rest of your time will be spent on case preparation.
  • A combination of induction training, bespoke training modules, mentoring and on-the-job coaching makes a career as a Prosecutions Lawyer much more accessible to lawyers considering a change in direction.
  • A genuine interest in criminal prosecutions, coupled with the qualification of Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales are the basic requirements to be considered for this role. Whilst experience in a contentious area of law is preferable, this role is open to lawyers from all disciplines with the desire to learn.
  • The ability to make solid and well-reasoned decisions is essential for this role, in addition to having exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
