Role Overview: As a Contract Engineer with this client, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing engineering and automated materials handling projects on a contractual basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex contractual agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Development and Negotiation: Craft detailed contracts outlining project scope, timelines, costs, and deliverables.
- Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and client expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain positive interactions with clients to facilitate smooth project execution and address any grievances effectively.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all project activities adhere to contractual agreements and industry standards. Create organized summaries of essential clauses for easy reference.

- Change & Cost Management: Manage changes throughout the Contract period, auditing and validating claims and managing the approvals process. Process requests for performance and stage payment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
- Proven experience in contract engineering or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions e.g. MF1 or NEC.
- Ability to analyse complex technical drawings and legal documents.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
