Reed Accountancy is delighted to be working with a highly successful and prestigious Accountancy Practice based in Belfast. Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Accounting Technician to join their supportive and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is keen to develop their skill-set and pursue a chartered career with the support of their senior staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial accounts and other administrative tasks
  • Working closely with accountants, managers or other finance technicians to complete daily accounting and finance activities
  • Assist with administration of client payrolls
  • Updating of records and procedures as required
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • To constantly strive to add value to the practice

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified Accounting Technician with recognised professional certificate
  • 3+ Years Experience in a technician role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and be able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
  • Competent in accounting software and in Microsoft Office suite
