Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively re-assigned by a long-standing client, a well-established and highly successful building services business. Establishing an excellent reputation, the company has been operating for over three decades and serves clients throughout the South-West. They’ve assigned us to assist them with the recruitment of their Finance Manager, a pivotal position within the business where the successful candidate will take a lead responsibility for all aspects of the company finances. The role reports directly to a friendly and experienced Managing Director and will be supported by a part-time Accounts Assistant.
The successful candidate will have complete autonomy where department efficiency improvements are concerned, so this position represents a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to stamp their mark.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of a bespoke accounting platform (full training provided)
- Production of management reports with commentary for SMT
- Cash Management
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll administration
- Other duties as required
This role will suit an experienced company Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager, or an ambitious Assistant Accountant looking to take a step up. It is absolutely critical that candidates have previous experience gained within the construction sector and understand project retentions and the CIS scheme. Either AAT qualified or QBE, our client is more focused on team fit and personal attributes than qualification. This is a fast-paced business with a particularly friendly management team, which would be well suited to a like-minded accountant.
