We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join a large Manufacturing site in the heart of Carlisle. This is a pivotal time to be joining this organisation as they embark on their journey to become the UKs flagship site, manufacturing some the worlds most well-known sweet treats. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you must be able to manage the demands of frequent operational changes.?You will be responsible for coaching, developing and leading direct reports. In addition, you will also be responsible for achieving targets and business Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) within role remit.? The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for planning and prioritising workloads and ensuring maximum use of resources?whilst ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of all aspects of the warehouse function and its service to manufacturing and operations. The Warehouse Manager will: Control the site receipt, storage and movement of materials to the production process to ensure successful completion of the factory production plan. Budget management and control, managing operational overhead costs for site warehousing and distribution and FLT fleet. Manage the storage and movement of finished goods (where applicable to site) to maximise customer service to customer and/or company distribution centres through the effective management of?site movement and storage control Work closely with Supplies Manager & Supply chain manager.? Experience Required Proven experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment Experience of successfully managing teams Trained in the following systems: SAP, Autostore, Sugatrak, Time & Attendance, Production Planning? Inbound / Outbound logistics experience? Distribution processes knowledge? Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) knowledge? FLT/Mechanical handling? Waste Management Load Planning IT literate and confident at learning and using a variety of systems Desirable Experience of working in a highly unionised environment Experience of servicing all aspects of manufacturing, including Waste Management? Industry recognised Safety & Hygiene courses completed? This is a day shift role , Monday to Friday. Hours may vary depending on business needs, however, will be usually office hours.
