The Birtenshaw Group are looking to appoint a Transport and Estates Manager to work across both Bolton and Merseyside sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following sites: Birtenshaw school Merseyside, Birtenshaw College, Birtenshaw Care and Enrichment services.
Please note this role will require at least 2 days per week to be spent at Birtenshaw Merseyside. During periods of annual leave cover this requirement will increase.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Ensure that daily transportation routes, transport staffing rota and vehicles required are available and oversee minor maintenance on vehicles, including fuelling, oil checks and cleaning.
- Monitor and oversee all Reactive Maintenance and Preventative Planned Maintenance, weekly H&S, fire and weekly site inspections.
- Have responsibility for out of hours management of the Bolton and Merseyside sites and to coordinate actions needed for out of hours issues if contacted in the event of an emergency.
- Line manage Driver/Caretakers and passenger escorts and ensure all drivers complete daily written mileage reports and pre-trip reports and submit those reports.
- Carry out driving duties if required.
- Ensure general Health and Safety is always maintained in all vehicles by all drivers.
- Ensure site security and good practice is always maintained.
