SRG are currently looking for a Process Operator to join a global Chemicals organisation based in Royston, who will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of PGM based alloys for a variety of applications within Noble Metals business unit. They will utilise several procedures to process ingots into finished components for further processing or sale to customer. The job holder may also be responsible for inspection and packaging of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Operators are responsible for ensuring their own and their colleagues Health and Safety, they will be required to work in accordance with all relevant production and procedures, promptly reporting any incidents or accidents to their Production lead or Deputy.
- Following operating procedures and standard work, record process information accurately.
- Work effectively with team members, management teams and other key members to ensure delivery of production targets and customer demand.
- Minimise waste to control costs within the budget and assist with projects and all other duties as required.
- Use of measuring equipment (including micrometres and tensile testing machines) and SPC charts to monitor and control product quality.
- Submitting quality samples and preparation of inspection documentation.
- Machine operating and set up in accordance to agreed standards & procedures.
- Manufacturing of various components across multiple areas using suitable equipment.
Requirements:
- A good level of English is required to enable interpretation of health and safety policies, risk assessments associated with the departments activities, as well as process instructions.
