An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and people-focused Business Operations Leader to join our fast-paced Exeter office. We are seeking an experienced leader to manage day-to-day business operations while driving a supportive, high-performance culture within the team. This key role suits an organised, confident communicator who thrives in a structured environment and is passionate about people development. As our Business Operations Leader, you will ensure smooth running of the office while enhancing our sales support functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee and streamline all daily office operations including scheduling, correspondence, and resourcing.
    • Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment, addressing maintenance needs promptly.
    • Implement systems and processes to maximise productivity across departments.
  • Sales & Business Support
    • Work closely with the sales team to support execution of strategies and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Monitor and analyse sales data, generate reports, and identify trends for improvement.
    • Lead CRM best practices to ensure prompt customer follow-up and engagement.
    • Support onboarding and training of new sales team members.
  • People Leadership & Development
    • Manage office staff, setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
    • Organise continuous development programmes including training and mentoring sessions.
    • Define and track KPIs for operational and sales teams, driving accountability and achievement.
About You
  • Demonstrated success as a Business Operations Leader, Office Manager, or in a similar operational leadership role.
  • A qualification in Business Administration or Operations Management is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a hands-on approach to leadership.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
  • Familiarity with basic IT support, data handling, and report generation.
