As a dynamic and growing company, we combine scientific expertise with commercial agility to respond to the evolving needs of modern healthcare.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Product Specialist with a strong background in biomedical science – ideally in biochemistry or microbiology – to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer interaction, product development, and commercial support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Serve as the escalation point for complex technical product queries from customers, internal teams, and partners. Troubleshoot, document, and resolve product issues, working closely with Quality, Regulatory, and R&D as needed. Maintain detailed knowledge of products across our portfolio, including diagnostic equipment, consumables, and digital platforms.
  • Sales Enablement & Training: Support the commercial team with product demonstrations, technical training, and onboarding for both internal staff and external customers. Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as the technical expert. Collaborate with sales to build trust and confidence in our products, contributing to successful tenders and long-term relationships. Manage POC/lab-based implementations including assay protocols.
  • Product Development & Launch: Provide scientific and user insights to guide product development and improvement initiatives. Participate in beta testing, validation studies, and user feedback collection. Contribute to launch planning, developing training content, support materials, and FAQs. Stay up to date on scientific advancements, market trends, and competitor activity to inform product positioning.

About You

Background & Skills: Degree (BSc or higher) in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. 2+ years' experience in a product, technical support, or lab-based scientific role. Strong understanding of diagnostic or medical device products (or willingness to learn fast!). Confident communicator who can explain complex information in a clear, customer-friendly way. Enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and balancing detail with the bigger picture.

Desirable: Experience with laboratory and/or POCT diagnostic instrumentation. Exposure to product lifecycle management or regulatory environments. Familiarity with NHS workflows or clinical laboratory settings.
