A manufacturing business based in Blackburn is now seeking a Business Administrator on a temporary basis, initially for 3 months, with scope for extension. This is an extremely varied role within the organisation, presenting a mix of routine tasks and duties alongside daily challenges. This role requires a person with excellent communication and organisational skills.
This role is available due to covering sick leave. However, as the business is now expanding, it is looking to hire with the potential for this to be made into a permanent position and for there to be other opportunities within the organisation. This role is office-based. Working hours are 8:15am – 5pm between Monday to Thursday and Friday 9am – 1pm.
As Business Administrator, your main duties will include general admin support to higher management, such as responding to emails, some telephone communication, data inputting, involvement in purchasing, logistics, statistics, data reporting and actioning any enquiries. This is a widely varied position which requires supporting different areas of the business, from warehouse to head office, including HR and accounts. You will ensure you follow the department's processes and procedures and ensure all information is correct while working alongside other team members to complete all administration work efficiently.
In order to be successful in securing this position, you should have strong administration skills, an excellent telephone manner, proficient Microsoft skills, including Excel, and a good desire to help others. Previous experience with SAGE is desirable but not essential. You should be self-motivated and able to use your own initiative, flexible and efficient with attention to detail. Be confident in overcoming objections and problem-solving, with an ability to deal with people from all spectrums of society.
In return, you’ll be working on a temporary contract for 3 months, with a progressive and market-leading manufacturing organisation. There is an opportunity for this to be made into a permanent position, depending on your performance and business needs. You will be paid up to £14.38 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay, to be paid every Friday. You will gain experience from a wonderful organisation, learning a range of new skills from different sectors of the organisation.
