What You’ll Do:

Technical Support:
  • Be the go-to expert for technical queries - phone, email, remote login and CRM.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, controls, and systems - especially in smoke ventilation, BMS or fire safety installs.
  • Translate complex issues into clear, practical guidance for installers and end-users.
  • Support field engineers when they need backup, guidance, or verification.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Spot recurring issues and flag them for engineering or product review.
  • Your insight will directly influence product design and future features.
  • Build internal knowledge bases and contribute to training and tools.
  • Keep meticulous records of issues, fixes, and escalations.

What You Bring:

Essential:
  • Proven experience in technical support, helpdesk or remote engineer roles.
  • Strong IT, systems, and fault-finding knowledge (hardware/software).
  • Confident communicator - calm under pressure, clear under stress.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote access tools, and CRMs.
  • Electrically competent - able to read wiring schematics and system layouts.
Preferred:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience with smoke control, HVAC, fire safety systems, or BMS.
  • Background in install, commissioning, or service.
  • Knowledge of PAT, RAMS, and compliance requirements.
