NJR Recruitment is currently working with a small and established firm of Independent Financial Advisers based in Manchester. In 2007, our Client were one of the very first firms in the UK to be awarded Chartered status, which has been renewed every year since.
Our Client provides advice on a wide range of areas including Investment Management, Retirement Planning, Inheritance Tax Planning, Personal and Family Protection, Business Protection and Corporate Benefits. The 'Technical Advisor' will support selected advisers within the IFA Support Team.

Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Advisers to interpret and communicate advice based on client’s circumstances, risk profile and objectives
- Product and fund research for all recommendations, using systems such as Adviser Asset & FE Analytics
- Writing suitability and advice letters
- Obtaining all pre-sale documentation including quotations
- Maintaining accurate and compliant suitability report templates
- Support and train other IFA Support Team members
- Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes
- Adhere to the FCA’s Conduct Rules
Experience and Skills:
- Strong academic background - minimum GCSE grade C in Maths and English or equivalent
- Relevant experience of working in a similar role within an IFA practice for a minimum of 5 years
- A degree relating to financial services, e.g. Banking, Economics, Business, Accounting or Finance
- Confident IT skills with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience of XPlan (Iress), Adviser Asset & FE Analytics
- Excellent understanding of pensions, investments and protection products
- Excellent understanding of providers and platforms such as Standard Life, AJ Bell, Aviva etc.
- Able to provide training to other members of the IFA team
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take on ad hoc tasks as and when required
- Excellent communication skills including listening, verbal & written
- Ability to interact with colleagues and other stakeholders politely and courteously
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
- Punctuality, reliability, and honesty
