An innovative, expanding, international leisure business is now in search of an ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified Finance Manager to help manage the day-to-day activities of the finance team and to help guide the business through a period of accelerated growth. The business is well supported and recently secured substantial investment to help expand their global reach within their specialist sector. The company has an excellent track record of career progression within a supportive, fun and rewarding environment.
As well as managing a small team, you will ensure the finance team provides timely and accurate financial information covering all areas of the business. Duties will include:
- Ownership of the month-end reporting process
- Develop appropriate financial controls and improve financial processes across the business
- Provide timely and accurate internal and external reporting
- Ensure statutory requirements are met for all UK and international territories
- Manage budgeting and forecasting process for multiple entities
- Manage the external audit process
- Assisting the Group FD in ad hoc project work
- Oversee tax compliance and VAT returns
- Develop strong relationships across the whole business to enable more accurate reporting
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system
- Liaise and challenge key decision makers across the business
Candidate requirements:
- Degree educated, with an ACA / ACCA / CIMA accounting qualification (MUST BE QUALIFIED)
- At least 7 -10 years of proven finance experience including financial reporting and the provision of management accounts
- Previous experience of managing and mentoring a small team
- Previous experience in a multiple territory and international business highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop sound working relationships with all levels of staff
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Xero is advantageous
- Willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
