We are recruiting for an enthusiastic & proactive Assistant Merchandiser (Gallery Merchandiser) to join our dedicated Merchandising team in a pivotal role, working closely with all areas of our dynamic and thriving retail business based in Lichfield.

You will have experience of head office merchandising and driving sales within a Retail business. You will have strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, databases, in-house systems). Reporting into the Head of Merchandising, you will be directly responsible for curating a selection of galleries to deliver a client focused, commercial offering.

You will be instrumental in driving sales by analysing the bestselling artwork in each gallery, and strategically allocating to get the right artwork in at the right time. You will help to facilitate potential sales by being a first point of contact for gallery teams, efficiently answering their stock queries and providing proactive advice on the available portfolio of artwork. You will identify opportunities, making recommendations to the business and taking action to drive gallery performance.

Working hours are 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday with one day per week working 09:30-18:00 (this will include being “on call” until 21:00 - paid at overtime). You will be required to work one weekend in every six, and will get the days back in lieu during the week when on weekend shifts.
