Our client is a thriving Womenswear mid-market brand. They have a strong brand ethos and identity, and they are on a strong growth trajectory with great success over recent years. They are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their team. Working closely with the Merchandise Manager, the role would manage the stock across their channels. This role will be critical in forecasting and managing stock levels, as well as be able to proactively seek opportunities and minimise risk through effective reporting. They are a small but growing business, so it would suit a dynamic hands-on individual who is able to step up and support the business through the next phase of their growth.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Analysing, planning and forecasting, looking at sales performance, optimising on key performers and putting forth action plans to minimise risk on worst sellers, highlighting any potential issues.
- Trading analysis across all channels and provide support with weekly trade reports and analysis.
- Stock Management and allocation, working closely with the warehouse on intake.
- Stock flow management, manage stock swaps, RTV’s and ensuring the brand is represented correctly through all channels and online platforms.
- Be able to build and maintain strong working relationships across other business functions including Buying, Sales, Logistics and Finance.
Our client is looking for someone who:
- An established background and experience of working within a Fashion Retail or wholesale business within retail merchandising or wholesale operations.
- Exceptional planning and analytical skills, coupled with the drive to exceed expectations and be a natural strategic thinker.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, being able to effectively communicate across the business.
- You will have a diligent and well organised work ethic, be a self-starter and motivated as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
- Have a hand on and flexible approach to your work and the business, be a key team player and adapt as required within a dynamic environment.
- Have a positive “can-do” attitude, be decisive with a strong commercial awareness.
Please note this role is based 3 days on site in their offices based in London, Zone 1, with 2 days a week WFH.
