The Opportunity:
We are looking to recruit a Student Adviser to provide a first contact point for students within the Business School, providing guidance and support, including additional assistance where needed to those navigating the University support systems. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, the role will enable students to achieve their potential, and ensure consistency of advisory support experience for all students. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students to fully participate and succeed in their chosen programme of study, working closely with University academic and support staff and external agencies as required.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Educated to HND level, or equivalent related experience
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the complex areas of student support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to remain calm and centre the needs of the student, being able to provide a safe and welcoming space for students.
- Experience of working independently and as part of the team to prioritise workloads.
- Active listening and excellent communication skills.
