What You'll Do
- Design & Simulation: Lead the design of earthing systems and perform lightning protection risk assessments (BSEN 62305 & BSEB 62305).
- Site Visits: Conduct testing and inspection of protection systems at substations, power stations, and renewable energy sites.
- Client Engagement: Manage key client relationships, resolve queries, and communicate technical outputs clearly.
- Report Writing: Deliver detailed technical reports and review junior team members' outputs.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior engineers and graduates to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications
- Essential: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Desirable: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in earthing & lightning protection design, assessments, and field testing.
- Proficiency in CDEGS, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of UK standards for electrical infrastructure.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work onsite (24 nights away/week).
- Demonstrated ability to support and develop junior team members.
- Collaborative, inquisitive, respectful, and highly accurate in technical work.
