About Wonder
Wonder is an AI-native creative studio developing original, high-quality content using cutting-edge AI tools. Backed by partners from OpenAI, Google DeepMind, ElevenLabs, Activision Blizzard, and Campfire Studios, we exist to remove traditional production barriers and enable a new era of creative talent—filmmakers, artists, writers, and technologists—to build at speed and scale. We focus on narrative-first, visually compelling work and challenge outdated models of storytelling.
The Role
We are hiring an Executive Creative Director to lead Wonder’s creative agency. You’ll define the visual and narrative language of our work and build the creative infrastructure that powers our original projects, experiments, and commercial work. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role. You’ll lead a small but growing team of creatives—across art direction, scripting, design, motion, storytelling—and set the standard for what great looks like. You’ll direct concept development, shape creative strategy, and maintain quality across every stage of production. You’ll work closely with the CCO and collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, community, and partnerships to make work that’s ambitious, inventive, and on-brand. You should be confident working across formats (video, animation, interactive, visual development), and comfortable experimenting with AI-first workflows. You’ll need to bring strong taste, solid leadership experience, and a sharp editorial instinct.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the creative vision at Wonder and lead execution across key projects.
- Direct pitches, campaigns, and internal productions from idea to final delivery.
- Be involved in the pitches for new work, taking on client briefs and pitching back ideas that fit the scope and goals of the project.
- Work closely with the Head of Production, to make sure projects are scoped to budget, as well as internal creative resources are managed correctly.
- Build and mentor a world-class creative team (staff and freelance).
- Develop creative strategy in partnership with leadership and product teams.
- Collaborate on brand development, visual identity, and storytelling frameworks.
- Review and improve work across all formats—motion, design, editorial, interactive.
- Maintain a high creative bar across client, platform, and original content work.
- Introduce processes that support scale without compromising creativity.
- Represent Wonder creatively in meetings with partners and collaborators.
Our ideal candidate is/has:
- 4+ years leading creative work in media, design, tech, or content-first companies.
- Portfolio that shows strong conceptual thinking, taste, and 360 campaign execution.
- Experience with art direction, brand systems, video, and storytelling at scale.
- Deep understanding of visual culture across AI, branding, film, design, and internet media.
- An obsession with creating beautiful work and impactful campaigns that solve our client’s challenges.
- You’re a conceptual creative with innovative ideas that challenge traditional approaches to content creation.
- Open to taking input from others, with the willingness to take on essential tasks when needed to get the job done.
- Able to come up with ideas that suit budgets and timelines, can manage multiple projects at once, and know when to pivot if something isn’t working.
- Familiarity with AI creative tools (Midjourney, Runway, ElevenLabs, etc.).
- Experience on set and with pre- and post-production processes for video and still photography (digital and print).
- Expert ability with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Google Slides.
- Excellent presentation skills; comfortable selling through creative ideas.
- Passionate about brands, ideas, stories, design and experiential, and a cultural point of view that translates to brand campaigns.
- Strong leadership and mentoring track record.
- Can handle ambiguity, move fast, and adjust direction quickly.
- Able to balance speed and experimentation with clear creative standards.
Why Join Wonder

- Collaborate with leading voices in AI, film, and design.
- Work on meaningful, high-visibility projects with cultural impact.
