Position: Full-time Floater Healthcare Assistant

Hours: 40 hr a week (Contract)

Job Summary: As a Floater Healthcare Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide personalized and compassionate care to clients in various settings. This role involves flexibility and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of different clients, whether in clients' residences, care homes, or other healthcare environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Care:
  • Provide direct care to clients based on their individual needs and care plans.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Floating Between Clients:
    • Be available to work with different clients based on scheduling needs.
    • Travel to clients' homes or designated locations to provide care.
    • Adapt quickly to different care environments and client preferences.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
    • Provide updates on clients' conditions and report any changes promptly.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
    • Complete documentation in accordance with established protocols.
  • Compassionate Support:
    • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
    • Foster a positive and respectful environment for clients.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Essential Skills:

    • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in health and social care
    • Valid full UK Driving license
    • Willingness to do personal care for Male or Female, if required
    • Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Good IT skills
    • Ability to work in the client’s home
    • Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals daily
    • Ability to take a person-centred approach
    • Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling
    • Willingness to learn and the ability to take on feedback
    • Ability to think outside the box

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience of providing care to people living in the community
    • Participate in Support Worker meeting
    • Participate in person centred training
