Nando’s has been in the UK and Ireland since 1992 and we’ve grown from a single takeaway store in Ealing, London to over 500 restaurants across all locations. We have recently been growing our digital capabilities to ensure the Nando’s experience remains relevant to modern-day customers. Our Forecasting Team dives into data from cutting-edge third-party machine learning partners to turn raw numbers into powerful insights. We take crunching data—sales trends, product-level info, and cooking requirements—and apply smart, tailored logic to transform it into actionable forecasts that drive efficiency and success. Whether it’s predicting what levels to cook or optimizing inventory, our forecasts keep things running smoothly. It’s all about using data to create flawless operations, whether we’re working directly with restaurants or collaborating with Central Support teams to ensure seamless, top-tier experiences!
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, focusing on application development and integrations
- Experience building applications using modern frameworks, languages and tools such as TypeScript, React and Next.js
- Proven ability to build relationships with technical peers
- Experience in setting up, maintaining, and querying different types of databases using SQL/NoSQL (familiarity with BigQuery and Dataform is a plus)
- Optimisation of data, analysis of information, and organisation of new sources of data into databases
- Experience with testing strategies, including unit testing, and integration testing
- Understanding of the importance of constructive feedback to improve code quality and team performance
- Kind and empathetic, encouraging others to do their best work and building a psychologically-safe, happy workplace
- Passionate about software engineering and staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends
- Experienced in building and deploying web applications with a focus on scalability, maintainability and security
