<b>Job Description</b><p><b>Engineering Manager – SaaS, E-commerce, retail, Infrastructure, .net – London – Perm – Hybrid – 80k plus bonus, benefits and equity.</b></p><p>My client – Global E-commerce business services company – are seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Engineering to join their team. Reporting to the Group CEO, you will be responsible for all technical strategic partnerships, operating and capital budgets, infrastructure and networking, product engineering, service delivery functions, security, disaster recovery, service performance metrics. As the Head of Engineering, you will develop the organisations IT vision, translating it into actionable goals and reporting progress to the board. You will direct various technology teams across 3 locations, supervising employees and managing 3rd party vendors.</p><p><b>Duties include:</b></p><ul><li>Management of the entire engineering Department</li><li>Ownership and Management of all Strategic Partnerships</li><li>Engineering, Quality Assurance and Availability of all technical products and tools</li><li>Regression Suite and Automation development strategies</li><li>Architecture and Platform Infrastructure Strategies and Cost Controls</li><li>Developing, tracking and controlling the annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, operations and infrastructure</li><li>Identifying future challenges in the IT landscape and developing mitigation strategies</li><li>Directing IT staff recruitment and directly supervising senior IT managers</li></ul><p><b>Looking for candidates with similar experience ideally </b><b>in the following:</b></p><ul><li>Experience Innovative leader with a proven track record of implementing emerging technologies to drive business growth and competitor advantage</li><li>Strong engineering background with proven leadership experience in onshore and offshore operations</li><li>Strong knowledge of Platform Infrastructure strategies, container structures, API designs, and integration layers</li><li>Experience of managing technical teams of .NET developers, QA, Automation, Infrastructure, Product, Platform etc</li><li>Good knowledge of Scrum. Kanban methodologies.</li><li>Experience in managing departmental budgeting and forecasting</li><li>Technologist – Keeps up to date with technical progression and champions a learning culture</li><li>Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate teams</li><li>Proven experience managing vendors and partners</li><li>Data strategy and management skills</li><li>Strong technical skills with the ability to direct IT management teams</li><li>Strategic thinker</li><li>Data driven decision maker</li><li>Ability to monitor service performance metrics and KPIs and take a proactive approach</li><li>Proven experience in creating a Service Delivery function to align business strategy and ITIL principles</li><li>The ability to formulate and implement business continuity and DR plans</li><li>Experienced working in SaaS and Retail industries</li><li>The ability to direct research & development efforts to explore new technologies, methodologies, and tools</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory compliance ensuring systems and processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (GDPR, PCI DSS)</li></ul><p><b>The role offers excellent benefits, progression and flexibility</b></p><p><b>Head of Engineering – SaaS, E-commerce, retail, Infrastructure, .net – London – Perm – Hybrid – 80k plus bonus, benefits and equity.</b></p>
