We are looking for an experienced Frontend Manager to lead a talented team of frontend engineers focused on crafting high-quality, responsive, and performant web applications. In this role, you will drive frontend strategy and execution, mentor engineers, and ensure the team delivers beautiful and functional user interfaces. You'll play a key role in shaping the user experience across our suite of products and work closely with design, product, and backend engineering teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
As a Frontend Manager, you will help define the technical direction of our frontend architecture, guide best practices in modern web development, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Lead the frontend engineering function, setting direction for technical standards, tooling, architecture, and frameworks.
- UI/UX Execution: Partner with product and design teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of interfaces that are both visually compelling and highly usable.
- Mentorship & Team Growth: Hire, mentor, and support the career development of frontend engineers. Encourage experimentation, feedback, and a growth mindset.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to frontend best practices, and promote maintainable, modular, and testable codebases.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure cohesive delivery of features and a consistent user experience.
- Performance & Accessibility: Champion web performance, accessibility, and responsive design as core components of our frontend strategy.
- Scalable Architecture: Guide decisions around component architecture, state management, and integration with backend services to ensure long-term maintainability.
- Delivery & Operations: Drive the planning and execution of frontend features and releases, ensuring timely delivery and smooth deployment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role.
- Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Webpack, Vite).
- Experience designing scalable, component-based frontend architectures and delivering large-scale applications.
- Strong grasp of UI/UX principles, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, conduct technical reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, HCI, or a related technical field.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Chakra UI, TailwindCSS).
- Familiarity with backend technologies and how frontend interfaces interact with APIs and microservices.
- Background in SaaS or enterprise web applications.
- Experience with internationalization (i18n), responsive design, and complex application workflows.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for building inclusive, high-performing teams.
