An established and forward-thinking accountancy firm is recruiting a Business Services Manager to join their team because of their recent expansions. This role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse client portfolio, including SMEs and owner-managed businesses, providing strategic financial insights and fostering client growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as the key point of contact and ensuring deadlines are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of accountants and part-qualified staff, overseeing workflow.
  • Prepare and review year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and other statutory financial reports.
  • Provide insightful business and tax advice, helping clients achieve growth and operational efficiency.
  • Liaise closely with partners on complex issues, advisory projects, and client development opportunities.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth transitions and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and deadlines.
  • Continuously identify process improvements and implement best practices across the team.

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio in an accountancy firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting standards, tax, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in supervising and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
