We are looking for a brilliant storyteller to join our team. Location: Remote with some travel. Whether it is a video that you make with people we support showcasing their achievements, an interview with our Chief Executive about a policy announcement, or a press release about our latest event, this role encompasses a wide range of content gathering to enable us to tell the story of FitzRoy and the difference we make.

FitzRoy is a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues and you will be joining a small, friendly team with big aspirations to lead a strategic shift in the organisation to be more external facing and amplify the voice of people we support.

You will be:

  • Developing, implementing and evaluating communication plans, ensuring alignment with our brand and organisational goals.
  • Optimising our use of social media channels and generating compelling PR, video and website content - videos, photos, news stories.
  • Delivering strategic communications that build our brand and expand our reach.

Who are we looking for?

  • A powerful storyteller across a range of media, including video, photography, blogs and vlogs.
  • Cheerful and motivated, you can build relationships, win people over and are confident meeting new people face to face and building a rapport.
  • An excellent writer with the ability to crystallise key messages, make an emotional connection and write for a wide range of audiences.
  • You will be a great people person, warm and empathetic but with a determination to problem solve, move quickly and get the job done.
