We currently have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced, successful, energetic and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing team at The Delivery Group. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Business Development Manager to join our successful and fast-growing new business team. This is a field based role. The Delivery Group is one of the UK’s largest distribution businesses specialising in domestic and international e-commerce delivery solutions. The Group has a vast array of services to offer its customers and is a sales-led business with a “one stop” shop philosophy. Our customers range from fast-growing SME e-commerce businesses to large blue-chip organisations. Our operations are best in class and our dedicated account management and customer service teams set us apart from the rest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate and convert new business contracts with SMEs requiring domestic and/or international e-commerce delivery solutions.
- Identify and convert cross selling opportunities covering the vast array of Group services including domestic and international mail, pallet movements and Medical distribution services.
- Work with our telesales team to identify new business opportunities, industry verticals and prospect pipelines.
- Attend a minimum of 9 face to face new business meetings per week to achieve target.
- Produce regular sales reports and pipeline activity reports via Salesforce.
- Assist with other sales related tasks and projects within the business as required.
We are looking for a hungry, tenacious, accomplished and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to join our successful and fast-growing team. To be commercially minded with excellent business acumen with the ability to seek solutions. An excellent understanding of the English language, both written and verbal. Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office and using mobile technology in the field. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and networking skills. To be process driven and able to manage projects as required. The ability to be a team player and fit in with the company culture. A clean (maximum of 3 points) full UK driving licence.
