As the Portfolio Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the data architectural strategy for this company. You will be responsible for driving the transition from an on-premises data warehouse to cloud-based solutions, first in Azure and then in AWS.
- Overseeing data modelling and reviewing data modelling processes
- Collaborating with Solution Architects and Platform Architects on a range of projects
- Interacting with the wider business and other data architects to ensure a cohesive data strategy
- Reporting to the Head of Data and working closely with the Head of Data and Analytics across the group
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Extensive experience as a Data Architect, preferably in the insurance industry
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and cloud-based data solutions, including Snowflake and AWS Glue
- Familiarity with global data architecture and the ability to work on large-scale, international projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with various business units
