A key client of ours is hiring a very senior level IT consultant to help them deliver their retail omni-channel strategy with the right IT infrastructure in place. The leadership team at this epic retail brand recognises that they won't be able to fully realise their strategic goals without someone in a dedicated, expert role to help advise them and implement an overhaul of their IT operations. As an IT consultant in a retail business, you will come from a very strong consumer industry background - whether that be e-commerce, retail, or FMCG. You will have worked for, and advised, the best DTC brands on the planet. A super strong DTC background is a must for this role.
Scope of Work
- The client requires a consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of existing systems across their head office environment, supply chain, and customer experience online across their digital touch points.
- This person needs to have an incredibly strong understanding of CX / Customer Journeys / digital customer experience.
- As a senior IT / Digital consultant, you will work directly with the Senior Leadership team of this iconic retail business and provide recommendations on:

- Implement quick wins where possible
- Deliver insight that supports growth and consumer engagement
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in consumer-driven environments - ideally from large, corporate organisations (e.g., Waitrose, P&G). You do not need to come from a luxury retail background, but a strong DTC background with a very large / iconic brand is a must.
- Experience working in complex / matrix businesses with a focus on customer journey and experience.
- Confident working in highly creative and dynamic environments - must get buy-in quickly and influence stakeholders effectively.
- There is no need in this role for this person to manage a team - this is a strategic and advisory position - a consultancy role.
- Must be comfortable in a hybrid work model: Initially 3 days per week in the office is ideal. Flexibility for 2 later on.
Logistics & Timeline
- Role is outside IR35.
- They are happy to offer this role on a part-time basis - i.e., 3 or 4 days a week as an option.
