We are looking for a confident Engineering Shift Manager to join the growing team at our clients fast paced and highly automated distribution centre on the outskirts of Mansfield. Working closely with the Engineering Manager you will need to be a strong communicator and be organised to lead the team of Automation engineers and technical operators, executing the schedule of planned maintenance ensuring that high standards are upheld to maintain the reliability and stability of the MHE, and breakdowns are prioritised to limit down time. This is a position that offers variation supporting the senior team and leading the engineering team from the front providing technical and hands on support. Key Responsibilities for an Engineer Shift Manager Attend handover meetings with the wider senior engineering team. Planning and organising of the Engineering Team delegating the schedule of planned maintenance. Fault finding and maintenance of automated MHE including conveyors, shuttles, totes and robotics. Respond to breakdowns. Mentoring and leading the team. Strong Attention to detail. Management of system and equipment incidents. Manage spare parts and Monitoring inventory and usage.
