Job Profile Summary
Command of the installation, with responsibility for delivering solutions to all offshore challenges ranging from recruitment and personnel planning to high level decisions on production and ultimate safety performance, on a 24 hours per day basis. Includes the management of all activities including production, maintenance, well services, drilling and modifications.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Health, Safety and Welfare of all offshore personnel: ensure all activities are managed within the boundaries of the Repsol Resources UK safety management system.
- On Scene Commander, responsible for command and control of offshore incidents.
- Ensure full compliance with all procedures and regulations related to offshore operations.
- Ensure full compliance with technical integrity standards.
- Ensure the safety of employees and plant by providing and applying a safe system of work which complies with Company policy and best practice.
- Protect Repsol Resources UK license to operate and reputation within the UKCS by ensuring consent limitations are not exceeded.
- Oversees daily production/platform operation activities.
- Organise, supervise, and delegate activities of personnel to ensure preventative maintenance, housekeeping, and repairs are effectively prioritized and performed in a timely manner.
- Ensure cost efficiency focus, driving efficient operational and execution performance.
- Promotes, embed and maintains a positive safety culture for all personnel.
- Ensure that the offshore team competency levels meet the expectations of the company standards.
- Active performance monitoring of roles on platform, provide support and guidance as necessary.
- Facilitate continuous improvement in the offshore team.
- Develop and implement offshore personnel strategies, supporting recruitment, succession planning and personnel development.
- Support the development of future work plans and long term asset strategy.
- Implement platform specific MOC documentation and associated changes.
Professional Skills and Experiences
- Appropriate experience in operations, engineering or marine.
- Management/supervisory experience and leadership skills essential.
- Ability to deliver results, extensive networking should be established and maintained with all functional groups and other offshore sites.
Educational Qualification and Certifications
- Qualified to Degree, HND or equivalent – alternative level of qualifications may be considered accompanied by relevant experience.
- Proven competency to Command and Control in emergency situations (qualified via assessment).
- Competency levels as dictated by company standards for position.
