Willow Alexander Gardens is the award-winning garden design studio within the House of Willow Alexander — a modern British home & garden brand. We deliver everything from visionary outdoor spaces to ongoing maintenance with a strong focus on beauty, biodiversity, and regenerative practices. We are now seeking an Estimator to join our studio team and support the financial planning, scoping, and proposal process across a range of projects — from high-value design & build schemes to smaller landscaping installations and general garden maintenance contracts.
Role Overview
As our Estimator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the commercial viability and delivery precision of all garden-related projects. You’ll work closely with designers, landscapers, and the operations team to assess drawings, specifications, site visits, and client briefs to produce accurate and competitive estimates. You will additionally handle sales leads for smaller landscaping and maintenance projects from both recurring and new clients.

- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for:
- Large-scale garden design & build projects
- Soft and hard landscaping works
- Ongoing maintenance contracts and one-off visits
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in estimating for landscaping, construction, or garden design sectors
- Strong understanding of soft & hard landscaping practices, horticultural materials, and construction processes
- Experience working from technical drawings, 3D models, or concept visuals
- Excellent cost analysis, budgeting, and pricing logic
- Proficiency in Excel, estimating software (e.g. EstiMate, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask across several jobs at different stages of design or planning
- Detail-oriented, commercially minded, and deadline-driven
- Valid UK driver’s licence for occasional site visits

- Background in landscape architecture or garden design
- Familiarity with sustainable or regenerative landscaping practices
- Experience estimating public realm or luxury residential gardens
