The Keyworker will liaise with mainstream and community services to promote the inclusion of disabled children and young people, encouraging attendance and participation in activities of their choice within the community without the need for Social Care involvement. The Keyworker will directly support families to access services or funding, from charities and other sources, to ensure that disabled children and their families receive timely, coordinated support and deliver accredited interventions, such as parenting courses, that focus on understanding and supporting the unique experiences of parents/carers of disabled children.
The people we are looking for will have:
- QCF level 3 qualification in a relevant subject e.g. community development, health and social care, counselling, childcare, youth work.
- Experience of direct working with families with children that have complex needs.
- Experience of undertaking an assessment of need of families and children with complex needs.

Interviews will be carried out in person on Wednesday 28 May 2025. We will try to accommodate any special requests for the interview slot if you are shortlisted for the role.
We offer a great package of professional training to develop you and to give you the ‘tools to do the job’. If you do not have a L4 Qualification you will have the opportunity to undertake a recognised qualification within your work time. You will be part of a Team of L2 Keyworkers and will receive good supervision from an experienced manager.
