As Demand Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the chilled supply chain, from building and maintaining relationships with customers and factories to demand forecasting. The role requires a solid understanding of the supply chain within a manufacturing context, as well as the ability to manage demand effectively. You will determine the appropriate quantities of products to be delivered to UK depots from various factories across Europe. Additionally, you will support other factories in managing their stock in the UK by providing market insights, offering necessary information, and challenging them to meet their KPIs related to service levels and waste reduction.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure forecast accuracy and align safety stock levels with acceptable forecast deviations.
- Develop and implement strategies to address service and waste level challenges.
- Perform data analysis to support sales and marketing efforts.
- Work closely with European factories to help them understand the UK market and provide them with the insights they need.
- Manage seasonal demand fluctuations, including periods like Easter, Christmas, and promotional events.
- Coordinate with warehouses and customer supply chains to ensure smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will be either a recent graduate with a technical degree or have hands-on experience in retail or logistics. They should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is crucial, along with the capacity to build strong relationships with supply chain contacts to gather and analyse customer data. You should also be adept at prioritising tasks and making informed decisions.
