Electrical Estimator – Private Networks & Renewables £50,000 – £60,000 + £6K Car Allowance + Bonus | Hybrid/Remote Flexibility | UK-Wide Projects Are you a detail-driven engineer or estimator who wants more than just spreadsheets and specs? We’re representing a respected and growing engineering business that works across private networks, solar, BESS, and grid connection projects —and they’re looking for an experienced Estimator to help turn technical opportunities into high-impact infrastructure. From 11kV and 33kV switchgear upgrades to 132kV contestable connections , you’ll play a key role in pricing, planning, and shaping the UK’s energy future. What You’ll Be Doing: Estimating costs and timelines for HV projects (11kV to 132kV) Working on substation installs, transformer replacements, remedials, and grid connections Producing accurate quotations, bid submissions, and commercial packs Attending site visits and client meetings to scope and review tenders Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value Offering alternative solutions and value-engineered options Supporting business growth by identifying upsell opportunities What You’ll Need: HNC in Electrical Engineering (Power Distribution focus preferred) Experience in private networks and/or renewables (solar, BESS, load connections) Ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate solutions clearly Commercial awareness and experience negotiating supplier/subcontractor terms Familiarity with health & safety requirements in HV environments Salary & Benefits: £50,000 – £60,000 basic salary (depending on experience) £6,000 annual car allowance Annual bonus Private medical insurance Company pension scheme Company credit card Sick pay scheme 25 days holiday + bank holidays Hybrid working options Supportive team culture and long-term growth opportunities This role offers the best of both worlds: technical depth + commercial impact , within a team that genuinely values its people.
