My client is an established, leading National Civil Engineering Contractor. Due to planned growth, they are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis a Contracts Manager with a solid background in Marine Civil Engineering Projects. They have recently been awarded two projects on the Thames totalling £11m that start next year with additional opportunities on the Thames, Erith (circa £30m), Folkestone, Sussex (various locations), and Faversham. The ideal candidate would need to be familiar with coastal & maritime projects, piling, sea defence. They company operate throughout the UK and specialise in the following sectors; Infrastructure Marine Civil Engineering Water & Wastewater Energy Sector BuildingsThe ideal candidate would reside between Crawley, South London and Maidstone in order to be able to navigate the region which broadly covers contracts from London into the counties of Surrey, East & West Sussex and Kent. Duties: Management of the Project/Site Manager, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers. Production of monthly reports Liaise with the Senior QS (Quantity Surveyor), Site QS. Ensure production, review, and monitor the delivery of the project/site health, safety, environment & quality plans. Develop effective relationships with the clients to maximise the perception & reputation of the business and secure profitable work. Taking responsibility for a contract at handover from the estimator Plan & monitor resource requirements. Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement and use of best practice.
