Your new company requires a Maintenance Supervisor for a large transportation and logistics business in Immingham. You will lead, support and coach a team of engineers whilst working on the site maintenance plan. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's asset management, environmental, health, and safety policies and programs.

Your new role involves working closely with a team of maintenance engineers, responding to any breakdowns with urgency, and working on the site PPM. You will raise permits for any contractors and manage contractor works. You will ensure engineers are assigned tasks in priority order, and work safely ensuring all works are recorded in the company CMMS. You will carry out a range of tasks including changeover of machinery within standard operating procedures, completing daily engineering reports, recording works, and ensuring critical spares are logged and ordered if appropriate. You will support training on equipment when required and manage a skills' matrix to identify training needs for your team members. You will attend daily shift change meetings and ensure detailed effective handovers are communicated, reporting on asset availability, RCA's and updates on projects.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will be an apprentice trained Engineer with a background in transportation, quarry, logistics, freight, manufacturing, with experience of leading and developing a team.
  • You will have strong Electrical and Mechanical ability across a range of high speed processing equipment with a strong understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics, excellent fault-finding skills, good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • You will be a strong people leader with good coaching and mentoring skills.

What you'll get in return:

This role offers an attractive salary working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work also required. This role is on a temporary basis for 12 months.
