Our brand new Assembly Facility at the Rail Village at Goole represents a strong commitment from Siemens Mobility to invest in the East Riding of Yorkshire. You will be part of a large team of electrical and mechanical technicians carrying out the final manufacturing stages on a variety of train and metro systems, the first being the replacement for the London Underground Piccadilly line. You will ensure that that safety is a priority as you assembly our state of the art zero emission trains in our purpose built facility. This is the first Siemens Mobility rolling stock manufacturing facility in the UK and is expected to undergo a significant period of expansion over the next decade, providing a great deal of growth and career opportunities. Here is how the programme works Whilst on the Apprenticeship you will be following an apprenticeship standard ST0432 Engineering Fitter. https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/engineering-fitter-v1-2 The programme structure will be: Day Release (in person) Whilst working towards a formal qualification you will also work as part of a team on real life projects within the workplace.
