Are you a Civil Engineer looking for a remote role? This is a great opportunity to work from home whilst growing and progressing within a well-respected consultancy. This consultancy is keen to take on an Engineer who specialises in Infrastructure and drainage to join their team.

The role:

  • Preparation of site appraisals
  • Undertake feasibility and pre-planning assessments of engineering infrastructure
  • Peer review of documents, designs and drawings completed by other team members to ensure consistent high quality and compliance with design standards, industry best practice, contractual obligations and client expectations
  • Liaison with clients, regulators and other stakeholders
  • Attendance at design meetings, site meetings and undertaking site inspections
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Company’s Quality Management System
  • Provide technical guidance, support and training to junior colleagues and assist, where practicable, in mentoring and development of others
  • To work in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets
  • Report to the appropriate team leader on technical issues associated with project work
  • To be able to work in close collaboration with team members and other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role
  • Production of CAD and 3D modelling in conjunction with other Project Engineers / Technicians
  • Quality Control for CAD and 3D modelling production
  • Outputs to company CAD standards as well as comply with project and BIM protocols
  • Undertaking other tasks as delegated by Project Engineers/Managers
  • To adhere to the company’s Health and Safety Policy

What you need to succeed:

  • UK design consultancy experience across a range of sectors
  • Sound client liaison experience and being commercially aware
  • Experience with Section Agreements 278, 38, 185 and 104
  • Fully conversant in the use of software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, InfoDrainage or their equivalents
  • Hands on approach, with a desire to remain engaged in design, project management and delivery
  • Good organisation, communication, and presentation skills
  • You will have 3 + years’ experience in the industry and have an aspiration to start a new and exciting chapter in your career
