The client, a global leader in hospitality and real estate, is seeking an exceptional Marketing Director to join their leadership team during an exciting period of expansion. Backed by Private Equity, the client has achieved remarkable growth and is looking for a strategic marketing leader to capitalise on this momentum.
The Marketing Director is responsible for driving the growth of the business by driving brand awareness, consideration, and lead generation, as well as maximising retention of clients.
- Marketing Strategy & Brand Evolution: Build strategy with Commercial Director & channel leads to hit commercial objectives for the business whilst evolving the brand. Lead all brand awareness activities, including sponsorships, partnerships, and ATL campaigns. Improve brand positioning in market, driving awareness in direct and indirect channels. Structure team objectives to calendar based on key commercial dates and campaign activity needs. Ownership of Marketing budget tracker & spend, aligning performance to commercial targets.
- Performance Marketing: Lead the media plan through the line to maximise the direct leads. Work closely with the sales team to maximise the conversion of the leads. Develop targeted campaigns for needs areas/buildings as well as new building launches. Track the effectiveness of the marketing investments and proactively lead changes to maximise ROI. Lead the technical SEO work and work closely with the creative team to develop a content strategy to drive SEO.
- Customer Insights & Competitor Understanding: Be the customer champion in the business. Market and competitor understanding to be able to inform product development and campaigns. Work closely with the data & insights team to ensure we have the right customer data to drive the business including research, NPS etc.
- Customer Retention & Loyalty: Improve customer retention at the business through driving effective communications and campaign activity with the wider commercial team. Build loyalty scheme, to reward customers and primarily decision makers for longevity. Enhance the customer offering through evolving the brand proposition. Introduce new products that will drive revenue and maximise potential of partnerships. Create additional revenue opportunities through customer engagement and referral schemes.
- Creative Studio: Lead prioritisation strategy, ensuring support for all three strategic areas of Marketing - Direct, Indirect & retention. Ensure effective delivery for all departments across the business, enabling self-serve where applicable. Continued evolution of brand messaging through creative team delivered to all channels.
- Events: Build a companywide events strategy that supports growth and customer retention. Drive opportunities to engage potential new customers, support the broker/agent channel, and evolve the member events programme. Challenge the current offering and product, driving revenue opportunities for the business.
The Person: Significant marketing and digital experience, including having operated at a Director level in a relevant business. Proven track record of building strong, high-performing teams. Technical understanding of websites and digital products and the ability to work closely with a technical team to deliver. Strong experience in customer data and engagement – on and offline. Lead generation experience, including media, marketing effectiveness, and SEO. Experience of leading creative functions, in house or external agency. A good affinity and understanding of brands.
