We're looking for a hands-on Python Developer to join our engineering team on an exciting remote contract opportunity, based in the United Kingdom.

About the Role:

You’ll work at the heart of our automation environments, building and deploying SDLC pipelines. In pre-production, we rely heavily on Python for API integrations and automation — moving to Java Spring Boot and Angular in production environments.

Scope of Work:

  • Primary Focus: Python programming for backend API integration and environment automation.
  • Pre/post-deployment checks, ServiceNow integration.
  • Fast-paced automation — your code will dynamically adjust environments.
  • Production services are Java-based; pre-production services are Python-based.
  • Some exposure to Ansible servers and basic networking.
  • Work closely within a Scrum/Agile framework.

Tech Stack:

  • Python (Pre-Production APIs)
  • Java Spring Boot & Angular (Production)
  • Ansible for server automation
  • Bitbucket, TeamCity for CI/CD
  • ServiceNow integration
  • Web services, API setups

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Python programming.
  • Familiarity with automation in pre-production environments (non-production servers).
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals: MAC addresses, IPs / Subnets, Objects, Subnet Masks.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile ways of working.
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket + TeamCity).
  • Bonus: Experience with Java Spring Boot, Angular, Ansible.
  • Excellent communication skills — you'll act as a subject matter expert (SME) as well as an engineer.

Location: Remote – Candidates must be based in the UK.

Contract: Until December 2025, with strong potential for extension.
