We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Welding Manufacturing Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced welders and manufacturing professionals, contributing to the production process while learning the fundamentals of welding and manufacturing operations.

Main duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing welding tasks, including cladding, MIG, TIG, and arc welding, under the supervision of experienced welders.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Participate in the setup and operation of welding equipment and tools.
  • Learn the skills required from a highly experienced and motivated mentor.
  • Attend college as required.
  • Complete all log books and assessments in a timely manner.
  • Report any environmental or health and safety issues that arise.
  • Assist colleagues as required.
  • Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and company policies.
  • Follow all 5S and LEAN principles with respect to a manufacturing environment.

What you’ll need:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of three National 5 level qualifications at grade C or above, with two of these qualifications in the subjects of English and Maths.
