What will you be doing? As a Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Systems, you will join our Bristol team to support our activities within the Energy sector. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct surveillance of HVAC equipment (fans, motors, filters, dampers, water coils) including design studies, procurement, manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, and testing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including fire-rated equipment (BS1366) when applicable.
  • Oversee and coordinate the processing of Design Changes (DCs), tracking their lifecycle from opening to closure.
  • Monitor and update project KPIs, including design changes, surveillance activities, NCRs, open points, and technical queries (TQs).
  • Manage the Change Transfer Sheet (CTS) process, ensuring timely issue resolution with NNB.
  • Conduct technical assessments on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Exemption Requests, and Technical Queries raised by the contractor.
  • Act as the Responsible Designer HVAC contract team representative in meetings with NNB and suppliers.

Qualifications: Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in system engineering and layout.
  • Knowledge of HVAC system and equipment sizing.
  • Proficient in Navisworks or equivalent layout CAD software.
