Opportunity for a Senior Planning Consultant to join a growing and highly respected firm, based in Manchester. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Senior Planning Consultant with our client, you will play a key role in driving forward major projects, working alongside senior staff and directors, and ensuring compliance with planning legislation and policies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting senior staff and directors on major planning projects.
  • Managing small to medium-sized planning applications.
  • Undertaking research and preparing planning appraisals for land, buildings, and concepts.
  • Preparing and submitting planning reports, applications, and environmental statements.
  • Liaising with planning officers, consultees, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and professionals.
  • Developing creative and original planning solutions.
  • Taking financial responsibility for projects from inception to completion.
  • Remaining informed about planning policies and practices.

SENIOR PLANNING CONSULTANT - DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 6-7 years (4-5 years post RTPI) private sector experience.
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant field with a genuine passion for planning.
  • Strong understanding of planning principles and policy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, with great organisational skills.
  • Proven ability in technical writing and delivering presentations.
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized projects and client relationships.
