We are recruiting an outdoor pig stockperson for a farm in Suffolk (NR34). The family-run mixed farming business has arable and pigs. Their pigs are on an outdoor breeding unit (bed and breakfast). There are 1100 sows, breeding-to-weaning, on a 5-week batch system, fed with auto feed dispensers. They require a stockperson for day-to-day duties on the unit, including duties on the farrowing paddock, fostering, weaning, feeding, serving, and fencing. Person specifications: Experienced pig stockperson Keen, enthusiastic and practical individual Good attention to detail and focus A good team member Knowledge in record keeping and computerised herd records Must be able to drive and hold a valid driving license Experience with machinery The producer will consider applicants with less experience and offers training.
