This is an opportunity to bring your culinary skills to a care home setting, where you’ll be providing nutritious meals that bring comfort and joy to residents. What Youll Do: Prepare, cook, and serve balanced and nutritious meals that meet residents dietary needs, cultural preferences, and personal choices. Collaborate with residents to plan varied menus that reflect their tastes. Supervise and support kitchen staff, ensuring high standards in food production, hygiene, and safety. Oversee kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and record-keeping for audits. Maintain cleanliness and comply with all Health & Safety and Environmental Health standards. Build positive relationships with residents, staff, and family members, creating a welcoming atmosphere. What Were Looking For: Basic Food Hygiene Training (NVQ Level 1 or equivalent). Knowledge of good hygiene practices and health and safety legislation in kitchen environments. Proven experience in food preparation, ideally in a care home or similar setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with residents and their families. Passionate about creating nutritious, tasty meals with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
