We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Fulfilment Lead to join our Sourcing Fulfilment team in Cheltenham. The team is accountable for driving the execution of on time delivery performance through assertive order book management, supplier development and key stakeholder engagement across circa 150 active suppliers that span 6 value streams. This team has a major impact on overall business execution and plays a critical part in terms of operational performance at our Cheltenham site.
The Supply Chain Fulfilment Lead is accountable for the material delivery/supply schedule to ensure that our production teams have the necessary products available to manufacture. Working cross functionally with the key stakeholders, including the wider sourcing team, this role will work to mitigate risks in terms of shortages and part availability into our production cells and workshops.
The Supply Chain Fulfilment Lead is also the first point of escalation of any supplier delivery risks, which will need strong and collaborative leadership to drive improvements and to communicate status/updates effectively. Experience dealing with and leading supplier recovery projects across a multitude of different commodity types will be essential in this role.
Roles and Responsibilities- Proactively highlight supplier delivery issues that could impact business goals and work collaboratively across the business to resolve/mitigate these risks.
- Manage and resolve these escalations and provide clear timely updates on the issues.
- In conjunction with Fulfilment Specialists, monitor supplier performance to plan and work with suppliers to manage any required recovery plans/actions.
- Able to escalate issues to Material Health Lead (MHL) concisely with current status and required actions in mind.
- Ownership of daily BUCC meetings and providing latest operational updates.
- Liaise with business unit Material Leads for 13 week MHV (Material Health View), being able to decipher shortages and those with the highest impact to the business.
- Liaise with MHL to support potential supplier transitions, supplier exits or entry into new suppliers for Delivery, Quality and Cost benefits.
- Drive inventory discussions and actions to protect the business needs on costs.
- Periodic travel is required as part of this role.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
