A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Primary 3D Layout Designer for AC substations, you will focus on delivering high-quality primary 3D layout designs that align with our project timelines and established processes. You will dive into your work, demonstrating your understanding of layout and primary equipment for substation projects up to 400kV. You will collaborate closely with civil teams and other interfaces, ensuring detailed coordination to bring your layout designs to life!

How You Will Make an Impact

  • To deliver a high-quality primary 3D layout design of AC substations in line with the agreed delivery timescales.
  • Adhere to high standards of layout and Primary Equipment for substations projects up to 400kV.
  • Responsible for coordination with civil and other interfaces for delivering the layout design.
  • Taking ownership and accountability for layout design delivery.
  • Fully conversant with Health & Safety standards (including CDM regulations) applicable to the design of High Voltage substations.

What You Bring

  • Experience in 3D layout of AC substation design, specifically in Revit.
  • You have previously been a layout engineer having delivered Primary layout design preferably in the substation design.
  • Knowledge of coordination with civil design model is preferred.
  • Fully conversant with Health & Safety standards (including CDM regulations).
  • HNC/HND in electrical or mechanical design is essential.
  • Good written communication and interpersonal skills.
