About the Role
We are seeking a Data Centre Operations Technician to provide essential support within a dynamic data centre environment. This role involves maintaining service levels, managing the ticketing system, and ensuring seamless operations for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network, server, and storage hardware, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, patch, and configure bespoke environments for various network, server, and storage solutions.
- Troubleshoot, configure, and replace components within managed services hardware (servers, switches, firewalls, storage arrays, etc.).
- Manage internal ticketing systems and uphold SLAs for fault resolution.
- Install, configure, and balance Intelligent PDUs for power monitoring.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Ability to meet SC and BPSS security clearance requirements.
- Located within a 30-mile radius of the site.
- Experience in a similar data centre or IT infrastructure role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
Desirable:
- Logical approach to fault diagnosis and decision-making under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and server configurations.
